Marilin North is a visual artist who lives and works in Leitrim.

Her practice is drawing-based and she often works with charcoal on paper and canvas and sometimes with water colour and ink on paper.

Her work is about human agency and the built environment in rural places. She challenges stereotypes of rural idyll and the idea of untouched wilderness, focusing on the working environments and housing found in the country side and the spaces around and inside mass-produced sheds and barns.
